Meet Greg Hill
May 18, 2016
Greg Hill is an ElliptiGO customer from Leicestershire, who recently shared his ElliptiGO story with us…
Greg told us: “In late 2009 a small group of us (mid-forties, with no cycling background) decided to attempt to cycle the length of Britain, from Land’s End to John O’Groats, in just 5 days!
“We spent 18 months training and 4 out of 5 of us successfully made the trip in July 2011. With all that bike training I decided to take up triathlon and completed a sprint, an Olympic and a half-distance triathlon in 2012, with the ultimate goal of completing a full Ironman Triathlon in 2013.
“Unfortunately, in Dec 2012 I had then sustained a back injury which I had tried to train through (but with no running!) until in March 2013 when I was diagnosed with a slipped disc. Eventually, I had to have a nerve block injection in June 2013, but I managed to complete the Ride London 100-mile cycling sportive later in the year (in under 6 hours, on a road bike).
“But I really missed my running so scoured the net for rehabilitation advice and came across the ElliptiGO! I was hoping – and still am – that the ElliptiGO will get my running career back on track and allow me to fulfil my dream of running a Marathon and completing an Ironman Triathlon soon.”
